Established in 2009 with just two employees SALCS Installations has now grown significantly into a company which boasts a host of highly qualified experts ranging from engineers to project managers.

With over 50 years’ cumulative industry experience, gleaned from working with many global blue-chip clients, SALCS understand the importance of having a fast, flexible and reliable network. We offer an array of services from adds, moves and changes, to the complete installation of communication cabling and data centre demands. We are able to take on any size project, from national rollouts to single data point installs, offering expert support every step of the way, from design right through to delivery.

Steve – Managing Director

I began working in the industry in 2004 for a national IT company and through working at the forefront of a customer facing industry, I realised that customers were just a number to many businesses. I wanted to develop a  strategy to deliver the best customer experience journey, from planning through to delivery and support. With this in mind, I set up SALCS in 2009 with a focus on enhancing the customer’s experience in everything we do. We now have a great foundation and although there is still plenty to do and build on, we are moving forward with a great team which can’t be matched. 

Darren - Director

Whilst serving in the Army from 1988 I carried out field lines and radio ops works. Upon leaving the army, this specialised knowledge led to work opportunities with high profile telecommunication brands. In these positions, I managed to perfect my skills in telephony and I now teach and pass on my in-depth knowledge to other employees within SALCS Installations whilst overseeing the organisation of large customer rollouts for SALCS and the day-to-day running of the business.

Mat – Operations Manager

Coming from a facilities management background, I applied my knowledge of processes, innovation and strategic planning to push myself into an operational environment at SALCS Installations.

In my current Operations management role, I report to the Managing Director, overseeing everything from managing the workflow from purchase orders to project implementation and final handover. This involves overseeing project planning activities and achieve maximum productivity for the client’s scope of work. Utilising my business acumen, I enjoy embracing new technology to find smarter ways of working and encouraging others to perform to the best of their capabilities, ensuring the current and future success of SALCS Installations.

Jamie – Project Manager

Starting out in 1999 as a trainee Infrastructure Engineer, I quickly worked my way up to Team Leader within a few years. After spending 10 years on the tools, working in all manner of environments I was brought into the office to train as a Project Manager, shadowing an experienced Project Manager and within a few months, I was running the management of a major retail account.

Now, with 8 years project management experience behind me, I’m confident enough to deliver any type of sophisticated infrastructure installation or retail rollout.

I have a great relationship with all of the SALCS customers and feel that myself and the company offer an exceptional level of customer service along with a quality installation service.

Luigi – Project Manager

I started out as Trainee Engineer on the tools before being offered a position as a Project Manager back in 2004 and I now have over 23 years’ experience in the structured cabling industry.

As structured cabling forms the base of any infrastructure, I work hard to ensure this is reliable for our clients, resulting in a stable network. As a Project Manager at SALCS, my portfolio of work includes the delivery of projects across a range of industries including health, construction, retail and hospitality and I have also worked closely with many M&E customers helping design bespoke Copper and Fibre solutions for their client's projects.

Katie – PMO Administrator

Coming from a retail background, I pride myself on my knowledge of customer service. I have brought this experience to SALCS where my role is to ensure the business is supported in many areas ranging from projects and travel arrangements to file management. I quality assure works for large national rollouts and I’m always on the end of the phone to offer support to a host of individuals.

Bev – Accounts

I’ve been working for SALCS since it was founded and have watched with pride the company grow quickly.

Subsequently, my workload has increased dramatically and it now involves dealing with all aspects of the accounts, including payroll, VAT returns, purchase orders and the day-to-day banking.  I have seen the team increase over the years and with all the hard work put in SALCS now has a dedicated and successful team, which I am delighted to be a part of and I look forward to progressing with SALCS long into the future.
